About ATB Racing

Branford Around the Buoys "ATB" is a friendly racing series held just outside Branford Harbor in Branford CT.

Since its founding, ATB Racing has brought together sailors of all skill levels for low-key, PHRF buoy racing. We welcome all sailors, regardless of boat type and skill range.

Racing

“Around the buoys” takes place Wednesdays evenings during the summer and Sunday afternoons during the fall and is open to all boats, regardless of color, sex, religion or origin. No entries fees, no certificate required, tune on channel 68 and give the Committee Boat your boat type and model. Current Sailing Instructions and Notice to Competitors are available on the documents page.

The 2026 season starts Wednesday May 27, 2026 and runs through October. Starts are in the vicinity of R34 "Cow and Calf" and courses are set around nearby government buoys. Boats take turns acting as race committee.
